Crochet Christmas Photo Frames!

When I first saw this idea on Pinterest (where else??) I was smitten: I just love crocheted photo frames! I love that they are made from recycled material (in this case: old plastic bangle bracelets and scraps of yarn) and that they are simple to make and still can have such a great impact! Let's take a look at a couple I made:

I made three types of frame: I started with the red bauble, just love the little sprig of holly on top there. The snowflake and the Christmas wreath soon followed. They are so much fun to make!!

I made some with a loop for hanging and some with the option to add magnets to the back to make them into a fridgie. Love myself a good seasonal fridge magnet!

The Pinterest post suggested to glue your photo to the back, but I decided to go one further and made mine into reusable photo frames where you can switch the pictures by putting them into a felt pocket on the back:

Quite clever if I do say so myself! And it also makes for a neat back. It is a lot more work, but I just love the final result! Let's see some more pictures! Can't get enough of them!!

Want to make your own? I'm working on a free pattern for all these types (and some more!), so hang in there and stay tuned! I'll keep you posted!
